Strobe Edge Live-Action Review

I will be talking about my review on the Live-action Strobe Edge. Let's get started!

Strobe Edge Live-Action is based on the manga series "Strobe Edge" by Io Sakisaka (published from July, 2007 to September, 2010 in monthly shōjo manga Bessatsu Margaret).

Ninako Kinoshita (Kasumi Arimura) is a high school freshman with no experience in love. When she meets Ren Ichinose (Sota Fukushi)a handsome boy who’s popular with all of their female classmates — on a train during their commute home, she starts encountering him more regularly and gradually develops feelings for him. However, Ren already has a girlfriend, but is older than him. As the relationship of these two is explored, several other people in their lives must deal with their own feelings of unrequited love.

Ninako has a pure and honest personality. Her classmate and friend Daiki Korenaga (Jingi Irie) likes her and she knows how he feels about her, but she isn't sure how she feels about him. Ninako does feel something unusual when she is around Daiki.

As I was watching the movie, I got a little confused on what's happening because I haven't read the manga yet. All I did was go with the flow of the movie. The first part was when Ninako is riding on a train then she keeps on looking to this good-looking guy named Ren, when they arrived on their place, she run towards him and she tells him that she likes him. Ren got a little bit shocked, but answered her and said he's thankful for her confession and feelings, but he has his girlfriend (My gosh! He's taken! That sucks! And it got me pained, I feel like I was the one confessing then I'll just be rejected, that would be definitely hurtful, but sorry okay? I haven't read the manga so I don't know)

At first I didn't much enjoyed it, because the plot is a little bit confusing the scenes aren't on a good sequence, you'll see they're talking here, the next is they're going to a vacation, then you'll see a Ren part with his girlfriend. Then you'll be shocked it's only a flashback and blah blah blah blah.

There's a part where they showed Ninako's room, and it's so cute! I like it so much, but the space is a little bit too small. But those bookshelves are so kawaii!

I enjoyed the part where Ren is starting to notice Ninako, but the irritating part is that when Ren confessed to her and tells her he loves her, she just ran away from him like she seems to show that she has no feelings for him anymore.

(SEE!! He confessed to her!!)

Ooops! That's a spoiler. Sorry about that.

Now all I can say is that it's a good movie, I will give it 3 stars over 5 stars.

Well I can tell that I like more the live-action of Kinkyori Renai than this, though I am not saying that this movie isn't good. It's just that it didn't got my taste that much.

I thought the ending would not pleased me, but I was wrong, it got pleased me, though my real expectations didn't meet what I'm aiming for for the ending of the movie. But Fukushi Sota as Ren Ichinose? Oh my golly wow, you'll really enjoy it whenever he's around in the movie hahaha!

But I still recommend it, for those who can wait for the exciting and beautiful parts of the movie which is on the middle of the live-action. And who has a long patience.

So that sums up my review, enjoy and good luck! ;)
